Fife Means Business: Let’s Talk Business – Dunfermline

Free drop-in business support and one-to-one appointments for Fife businesses

Fife Council’s Economic Development team and Business Gateway Fife are bringing practical business support directly to local businesses through a series of informal engagement sessions.

Businesses are welcome to drop in during the session to speak with advisers and find out more about the support available. If there are specific points you would like to discuss, we recommend booking a one-to-one appointment in advance to make sure the right support can be provided.

Appointments and drop-in support are free and open to businesses at all stages.

About this event

Fife Means Business: Let’s Talk Business is a joint initiative between Fife Council’s Economic Development team and Business Gateway Fife.

The sessions are designed to give businesses access to joined-up, practical advice in a local setting. Representatives from both services will be available to help businesses identify relevant support, explore opportunities and make informed decisions about development, premises and next steps.

Businesses can either drop in on the day or book a one-to-one appointment. Booking is recommended for those who would like to discuss a specific business issue, opportunity or support need.

Who should attend?

This event is suitable for:

  • Existing businesses currently operating from Dunfermline Business Centre
  • Local businesses based in and around Dunfermline
  • Businesses looking for advice on growth, development or future planning
  • Businesses considering premises or relocation options
  • Start-ups and early-stage businesses looking for support
  • Established businesses looking to access wider business support

What can I discuss?

You can use your appointment to discuss topics such as:

  • Business growth and development
  • Business Gateway Fife support
  • Fife Council business property and premises enquiries
  • Funding and support signposting
  • Marketing, digital and business planning
  • Recruitment, skills and workforce development
  • Innovation, productivity and sustainability
  • Any immediate challenges or opportunities affecting your business

You do not need to have a specific issue prepared to attend. Businesses are welcome to drop in for an informal conversation. However, if you have a particular topic, challenge or opportunity you would like to discuss in more detail, please book an appointment in advance.

Appointment times

The event will operate as a drop-in session, with bookable one-to-one appointments available throughout the day.

Morning sessions are dedicated to Fife Council Business Property tenants.

  • 9.00am to 12.00pm: Dedicated support to businesses currently operating from Dunfermline Business Centre.
  • 1.00pm to 4.00pm: open to all local businesses

If you are dropping in, please attend during the relevant session time. If you would prefer a dedicated time with an adviser, please book an appointment slot.

Each booked appointment will last up to 20 minutes.

Before you attend

If you are booking an appointment, please include a short note about the main topic or question you would like to discuss. This will help advisers prepare and make the appointment as useful as possible.

This could include business growth, premises, funding, marketing, recruitment, skills, sustainability, digital support or any other area where you would welcome advice.

Businesses attending on a drop-in basis are also welcome and do not need to book in advance.
